Artist and designer Van Aileen is currently pursuing a BFA in Design at the Mason Gross School of the Arts and Honors College. Building on her roots in traditional art mediums, she combines her design proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Figma) with principles of sculpture, painting, and photography. Van has applied her diverse skills to create expressive spaces through her work with non-profits, teaching roles, and civil liberty projects. At Rutgers University, she co-founded a beauty organization dedicated to fostering creative expression and supporting students interested in the beauty industry.
Currently, Van is developing a large-scale thesis project that explores the idea of home—as both a metaphysical space we carry with us and a community we create through relationships. After graduating, she plans to pursue a Master’s Degree to further her artistic and professional growth.
